Allie

Todays post is about our dog Allie.  She has been a part of our family for 8 1/2 years.  Now I will admit that I didn't used to be a dog person.  We had a talk about having a dog once Allan was 1 1/2 and I had a few rules that I put out there.  It had to be a free dog, nothing that was purebred and expensive, I like to get the dogs that need a home.  I don't scoop poop, it had to be a girl and no sleeping on my bed.  This is our girl Allie:

We did good on all of the rules for about 6 1/2 years.  Then my in-laws came and stayed for a month.  We gave up our room for them and my father-in-law decided Allie should sleep on our bed with him.  So now that rule is broken.  However that is the only rule broken and I am okay with it.  She is a good dog and sleeps at the bottom of the bed, only disrupting Chris. (Good Girl)  She gets a gift from us for Christmas and watching her open it is amusing :-)

Allie had a rough few days this past weekend.  She got shots on Saturday, have to keep her up to date and legal.  Then on Sunday she had a bath.  The bath would be my fault because I kept saying she stunk :-(  But I hadn't said it in a few weeks.  She smells so much better now and her fur is soft and smooth.  Here are a few pictures of her bath.

I am thankful that we have her, and that she is part of our life.  She has definitely changed my mind about dogs.  Of course I love her above all other dogs because she is the best.
