Yesterday morning I signed Cara up for Kindergarten. I was sad and happy and a little nauseated all at once. I called my sister to talk about it. I needed to vent a little to a sympathetic ear. I am proud of my girl, but it is a little sad that my baby will be going off to school.
Tonight we had the meet & greet at the school. There was a long line for the people who hadn't thought ahead and registered their child yesterday, glad we didn't have to wait in that line. There are 3 Kindergarten teachers, 2 of which I know. One I know pretty well because Allan had her as a 1st grade teacher. Chris and I are both in agreement that there are 2 teachers that we would like to have for Cara, and one that we are not excited about at all. You can't request certain teachers, but you can fill out a parent input form talking about what type of child you have and how they best learn. I want to be very careful in how I fill it out because I really believe that a child's kindergarten teacher can lay the foundation for a wonderful school experience.
So if anyone feels like adding happy thoughts and prayers to our quest for the right fit teacher for Cara we would be extremely grateful for the extra help.
