My family is very much in to music. My husband used to Dj and still does once a year for a non-profit camp back home in Michigan. I have always loved every kind of music. I feel a connection with it. Some days it is the one thing that can define your mood, improve your mood, or help you figure out what mood you are in. My children love music because it is a big part of our life. We play it a lot, we act silly and dance around, we sing at the top of our lungs.
Then there was a very sad day for me. My I-pod died. I usually tuck it down next to the seat so it doesn't overheat because lets face it, a closed car in AZ can get very hot. Well that day I forgot to tuck my pod away. When Chris and I came back out to the car after lunch it wouldn't play. No big, I figured it needed a charge. It wouldn't take a charge. I was without it for a week. I was stuck with the radio. I am not a huge fan of the radio anymore because there is too much talking and not enough music. One day Chris takes my pod and plugs it and and voila it is all better. Sometimes cars and appliances are like this, they act bad for you but then show off for the man in your life, trying to make you look stupid. It is a rather frustrating thing. I am extremely grateful to have my I-pod back in working order. It has become an important part of my day. I scan to the song I need to hear at that moment and just enjoy. If I am alone in the car, I turn it up a little louder and sing. Of course now that it is nice enough out to have your windows down, I may be adding to the noise pollution of other drivers. So when I stop at a light if someone has their windows down, I roll mine up if I am singing. Just trying to do my part to be kind. :-)
So what kind of music makes your day? What kind can you live without, and what kind do you love the most? Me I am an all around music girl, classical to rock to rap to metal to acoustic and all the rest in between. Music is a gift from God, and I thoroughly feel blessed that I am able to enjoy it.
