Parenting

I am thankful for my children.  I am praying for more patience, and thoughtfulness, but mostly the patience.  Some of the blogs I read are all about the joys of motherhood and how happy the people are to be moms.  This I understand, I am thankful every single day for them.  I just want to know where are the blogs about the struggles of motherhood.  It is a darn hard job, with many ways to screw it up.  Also everyone out there from strangers, to friends, close family and people who love you, are ready to tell you how you stink at it.  You didn't make the right choice here, your voice was too loud there, and you just are not doing it as well as they would have.

So I say as mothers lets be nicer to each other.  Less judgement and harsh words to each other.  You may not love what I am doing, but I have amazing children.  Polite and well spoken, thoughtful, and kind to others.  What is funny is other people enjoy being around my children, and this is based on people actually saying it without being asked, rather than me asking for it.  What they don't understand is they don't come that way.  Good parenting can go a far way in making children a lot of what they are.  Some of it is of course is their God given personality.  Our job is to help them be better people and to use those personalities for good and not evil.

I would also like to apologize for how all over the place yesterdays post was.  Obviously I was feeling many emotions and I couldn't really harness them when I was writing.  I am going to work on that in the new year also.

Sweet Dreams
Andrea
