When somebody loves you...

I am very lucky.  I have a husband who likes to cook, and is very good at it.  Very often the kids and I come home and he is working on dinner, or had already made something.  Since I work so late this is a huge bonus so the kids aren't up all night eating and going to bed right after.

A little over a week ago, I wrote about my hunger for a certain kind of cuisine.  I wanted mexican and especially the chips that are served at the beginning of a meal.  I have had this on my mind so much and have talked about it, googled a way to make the chips at home and just haven't had time to.  So tonight the kids and I walk in to the house and Chris meets me before I can get in the kitchen and says close your eyes and open your mouth.  Now honestly I wouldn't do this for many people, but I trust this man and so I did it.  Lo and behold it was home made chips!!  He stopped on his way home to get medicine for our sick little girl and while doing this, thought of me and got all the fixings for a mexican dinner.  It was awesome!!!  Home made chips, tacos, spanish rice, beans.  Everyone loved the meal.

Sometimes it is the little things that are the most important.  I am thankful for a man who loves me despite all of my flaws, and accepts me for who I am, even when I don't.  I thank God for a wonderful mate in life because it definitely makes my life better and more enjoyable. We may not always think exactly the same, and no things are not always easy, but they are always worth it in the end.  Chris is a wonderful partner, and we are a great pair  The key is to always remember this and not get bogged down by all of the muck in life.
