No matter how much I am not ready for it, and tell her to stop, Cara keeps getting bigger. This weekend she cheered at her first basketball game, it was pretty fantastic! I am amazed at the whole squad. There are 4 kindergarteners on our squad and we go up to age 10. It is a big age gap, but they work well together and the kids are having such a great time. It is a short season because we just had a short time to put everything together, so the girls only have 2 more games. Cara is kind of funny because she was awesome out in front of everyone and yet in practice in front of just a few people she gets giggly and shy.
Cara also got her ears pierced this weekend. There were tears and a shock at how much it hurt. A lot of people had told her it was only a little pinch. I did not tell her that because I didn't want to lie to her. It hurt a lot when I got it done years ago and I remember being mad that everyone told me the same story. So she now has pretty earrings in and we are following the cleaning plan and turning them. She had fun going to Boys & Girls club today and showing them off to the staff and other kids. She has really started to come into her own at B&G and is enjoying herself a lot.
Tomorrow is basketball again, one of our last 2 games before the play offs.
