I love and I am not afraid to say it

This weekend Chris and I did a lot with the kids.  We took them to dinner on Friday for a family Valentines of sorts.  As I mentioned in my previous post, Cara cheered at her first game, which Chris and Allan came to watch.  Then we had Allan's friend Will over to help out his parents who were busy that day.  We took the kids up to the outdoor mall and had lunch at a pizza place.  We then headed to the park with all 3 kids to play.  We played basketball, Cara and I, and Chris & Allan.  Mostly I watched Cara and Will playing on the playground.  As I watched Allan & Chris come off of the court after their game of Around the World, I was touched deeply by how lucky I am in this life.  Just seeing this amazing man I married made me happy, made me smile.

Basketball is not a sport that Chris and I were big into.  I got into it more when I coached high school cheer back home.  However this is not anything that matters when it comes to our kids.  Chris is out there playing with Allan, helping him with all of his skills, learning all he needs to so he can be hands on and helping.  Now Allan is going to try baseball and Chris will be helping him again.  Of course baseball is Chris' sport so this will be a little easier for him to help.

I love watching Chris with the kids.  No matter what may happen in our lives, there is always love.  Lots of love.  When I hear people say that they sometimes don't remember to say I love you my heart hurts, at our house it is said multiple times a day, by all of us to all of us.  Even if there are harsh words, an apology and I love you are never far behind.  I am a firm believer that everyone needs to hear it as often as possible.  Even when we say goodbye in the morning I love you gets said multiple times.

Thank you God for giving me a wonderful man to share my life with, to raise beautiful loving children with, and to have as a best friend.

Sleep tight,
Andi
